During the visit, the delegation met the CERN Director-General to discuss deepening LHC collaboration and HL-LHC upgrades. The delegation also visited the HL-LHC magnet commissioning site and the ATLAS, CMS, LHCb and AMS experiments, learning about detector operations, upgrades and data processing.
IHEP hosts the CCICC Secretariat and has long contributed to the LHC experiments, accelerator technology and distributed computing. The visit strengthened institutional ties between IHEP and CERN and supported closer engagement between CCICC members and the laboratory.
